hyperlinks within messages

How do I make a hyperlink when I'm typing a message in a forum? Is there a specific option, or do I just enter in the web address and it will automatically make it a hyperlink? i.e. lots of members have a hyperlink to their blog as their signature.

Do you see the little world with the link graphic above where you type in the quick reply or advanced options? When you hover over it - it will say "insert link". There is that same graphic in your user CP for signature. Click on it and it will give you a pop up box where you can enter your blog website.


You can also type something like "Visit my blog" then highlight it before clicking on that insert link button. If you do that it will leave your text there for people to read and still link you to the website.

I usually highlight the works that I want to be the link, then clikc on the little globe with the piece of chain under it. you will then be given a little pop up box that you can type the destination in.
