View Full Version : Getting to know you.
Can we have a get to know you session? I'd like to get to know more of you all. :)
I'm Erin. April and Angie's sister. I'm 23 and just got back from a mission for my church where I lived in Argentina for a year and a half. I just got a job at a hospital here in Utah as a CNA on the Trama Floor. I love to hike, camp and play the piano.
What about everybody else?

Welcome... I'm April and have been scrapping off and on for 10 years, but for the last 2 more seriously. I live in Kentucky, work for a pharma company - hey, we have Nitrolingual Pumpspray, which you may know about. I like most things outdoorish, play the piano, recently play guitar hero :) and have started a new business venture, www.studiocalico.com which will launch June 14. Needless to say, I'm busy, busy, busy. Glad to meet youl.

Hi Erin, no wonder you've never heard of myspace and don't know what a blog is. I bet you had a great experience in Argentina. My lil' sis has a friend in Argentina on a mission. Maybe you know him...his name is Elder Fransisco, from Vernal, Utah.
I'm Alyson. I served in the Air Force for 6 years (as an F-15 Avionics Technician) and have lived in North Carolina, England, Idaho, and Texas (plus my homestate of Utah of course). I'm 29 and I recently moved back to Utah after getting a divorce. I'm going to school, majoring in Biology/Pre-Pharmacy. I have about 2 years until I get my bachelor's degree, and then 4 more years for pharmacy school...I must be crazy!! I got into digital scrapbooking because of Digital Scrapbook Memories, and I'm so love with it (thanks April). I've been doing digital scrapbooking for about 7 months.:D
I don't have much time for other hobbies. I'm either doing homework, relaxing in front of the TV, or scrapbooking. I do enjoy geocaching and reading, but haven't done those in a while.

Erin, great thread. Thanks for starting it. I'm excited for you and your new job.
April, good luck with your new business. Sounds exciting.
Alyson, the air force? Wow. Sounds interesting. So glad we got you into digital scrapbooking and you are having fun with it.
Amy, you are so good at digi and do a great job making them look like paper. I hope you get to settle down in San Diego :)
Me? My name is April Oaks. I have two kids and live in Sandy, UT. Keith (a user on this board) is my husband. I am the owner of Digital Scrapbook Memories and have really enjoyed teaching so many people about this fun craft. I love to ski (but only go about once a year), hike, camp, watch movies, digi scrap and a bunch of other things I can't think of right now :)
It's really fun getting to know you guys.

Erin, thanks for starting this thread. Are you nervous for your new job, it sounds a little scary.
April, good luck with your new business
Alyson, I can't believe that you were in the air force!
Amy, I hope you get to settle down in San Diego too. Don't you just love Sea World?
April, you are what I call a wonder-woman! You are so amazing at everything you do.
As for me, my life has changed drastically in the last couple of years. I got married in May of 2005 and had our first baby in Aug of 2006. I am now a full time mommy and loving every minute of it. We live in West Point, Utah with my in-laws, but just until our house is finished in August. Other than being a mommy, I love to digi scrapbook (all thanks to April :p ), to cook, to go hunting and fishing with my husband, go camping, play softball, and being with family. In High School I was very athletic and played 4 sports, I try to stay in shape, but instead of running and diving for balls, I spend my days chasing my 9 month old son. Go Layton Lancers! So that's a recap of the last couple of years for me!

Jamie, make sure you share pictures of your house when you can. Sounds exciting to build.

It is, but isn't. I enjoy being able to pick out everything. But when you build a house, you need to be 10 lbs under your ideal weight because you eat food to coax the stress. lol.
