I got an e-mail with this question:

April,
I am making a bridal shower invitation from your CD and wondered where you get the envelopes for the invitations. Is it pretty easy to find envelopes that are 4X8? How do you get them printed? Do you just put a lot on a
12X12 or is it easier to change the size to 4X6 and have them pr inted
like photos?

Here is my response:

I would go to Xpedex. I don't know if I spelled it right. It's a store on about 3300 South and just west of State. They have tons of sizes for envelopes. There is also a store called Arvey Paper which is on State and just north of 3300 South. It's good too. (This person lives in a city by SLC, UT)

I would create a new 8x10 canvas, put two 4x8s on it, save it as a jpeg and print it at the photolab. Putting a bunch on a 12x18 to send to Costco would work well too.

Any more questions? Let me know.

I just did a Bridal Shower too! How did yours turn out? Thanks for the info April... that will save me time in the future! I looked FOREVER for envelopes and I found mine at Joanne’s Fabrics and Crafts in Riverdale. They didn’t fit really well and I’m a perfectionist so I’m glad that you told us of a couple of more stores.

There is also a paper store called Papers Plus 3228 S 900 W..in SLC kind of hidden by Boise Cascase.. but they are there.. Less expensive than xpedx... and they have huge rolls of wrapping paper for about 10 bucks.

I just made a baptism announcement that was 4x8. I called a few places and found out that Sam's Club will print a 4X8 for you. It is 40cents for each one, and they will give you envelopes to go with that size because it is an announcement. When I did it their I thought that everything turned out well. I have found that Sam's club is sometimes better to work with you than Costco becuase they are not so busy. I also found out that if you do a 4x6 pebbles in my pocket has a envelope di cut that size. You can go there and they will let you use your own paper but charge you 5 dollars,or you can use their paper and use the di cut for free.

I know that www.winkflash.com has the 4x8 size of prints and it comes with envelopes...that's where I get my Christmas cards from and they usually have some sort of sale going on. Just FYI.
