Hey, sometimes I've wanted to post a layout, but I'm worried that my settings aren't the best viewing settings. For a 12x12 page, is everyone using the "save for web" function in photoshop? If so, what numbers are ya'll typing in to make it such a nice size?

typically 500x500 or 700x700 pixels make nice LO sizes for web posting. also, most galleries appreciate it when the LO file size is less than 100k.

Well, I just tried it. Hopefully it worked out. With the quality setting on "high" I could only get the pixel size to about 493x493 to keep it under 107.5k. Is there a better way?

What you did looks perfect. It is kind of a balancing act to get the quality you want with a size that is easy to use over the internet. But the size and quality you posted look very good.

There is a better way...
In the save for web (http://www.digitalscrapbookmemories.com/tips/emailingYourPictures.asp) feature on PS you can also choose Jpeg small medium or high which will allow you to keep a bigger pixel size and stay under 107K.
I usually choose 600x600 pixels. Sometimes this automatically gives me a small enough kilobyte number but if it doesn't I simply reduce the jpeg quality to medium or small.
