How did I create this look using the graphic pen filter? Remember the graphic pen filter is the same filter I showed in a previous question.

You went to filters and changed it to a water paper.

I just had to leave for a trantrum and a poppy diaper. All part of being the mom, right?

Yes. Copy layer. Add filter. Change Opacity. Merge down.

copy the imape then changed the blend mode the soft light or overlay. Well.... that's not how I did it. That would do something slightly different.

I think Peverill is right its water paper. Sorry I didn't reply on the others I had a sad baby! Nope. Hope your baby is happy now.

Here is the right answer...

Yes. Copy layer. Add filter. Change Opacity. Merge down.

I duplicated the layer. (I'll start a new thread on duplicating layers) then I changed the top layer by adding the graphic filter in black and white. I then reduced the opacity of the top layer until I got the look I wanted.

You can use this same principle on many different filters. If the filter doesn't change the color of your picture to BW you could simply desaturate the picture on top.

Who has questions?

I am satisfied that I got one thing right first. My competitive edge has been curbed...for now!!
