April... a couple of us have wondered why you always recommend that you don't need the full version of Photoshop, only Elements, but lots of the tips in the classes are for the full version. We're not so convinced anymore that we don't need the full version (i.e. paths).

Tell me which ones. I am pretty sure you can do all of it with Elements except the paths. I have an idea for you to get the same effect in paths though.
The graphic filter is probably available in Elements or something very similar.

That would be great! The paths thing is probably the biggest one. Maybe to be able to have better control over changing colors of things is something I'd also want PS2 for

Ok. I figured out a way to have better control of colors in Elements. Have you read this tutorial? I added a part about clicking the colorize button. It's amazing!!! http://www.digitalscrapbookmemories.com/tips/changingColors.asp
Paths... Yes... I think you are out of luck with paths. I love paths but I don't know that it's worth $500 extra for it. Honestly I do love the full version but I think you still have so many options with Elements. At least I'm guessing. I think everyone can still learn more and do more in Elements.
I did just write an idea for creating the same look as the layout I posted on this thread. Read my bottom post (post #20) http://forum.digitalscrapbookmemories.com/showthread.php?t=1421
