What do we name the baby?

I am in need of some honest feedback, ladies! How do we feel about the name Lucy? My husband is set on it and I like it, but don't love it. And it is a family name with meaning to my husbands family. But, everytime I think I'll be okay with it, someone gives me the "your naming your baby what???" face. What do you all think?

Lucy is the name now--it's full of fun and vigor. Two new babies were born here in Cedar in the last month named LUCY--I LOVE IT! I want to have a baby just so I can name her LUCY :) and I'm 44!

My brother and sister in law just named their twins Lucy and Lila. I like the name Lucy, it is a strong, beautiful name with alot of religious history to it; not only LDS history.

There is a young girl in my ward that I meat at camp this year. Her name is Lucy, she is sweet and smart. Learns quickly and is determined to do her best... Lucy is a great name.

My middle name is Lou and as a youth was often called Lucy... still am by a few old timers...

Have you decided on a middle name? Maybe you can name her Lucy with a middle name YOU love and then who knows-she'll have options. That way you can both feel some resolution to the name. I was set on one name my husband HATED so he won on the first name and I choose a middle name (still not the one I wanted, but it all worked out)

Her middle name will be Elizabeth wich is after my grandma. That way both grandmas are covered and there will be plenty of options for a different name if she grows up and doesn't want to use the name Lucy. (I I didn't know that is was making a come back. I can't tell if I like that idea or not. =) Thanks for your input guys. You are really great! Your helping me to love the name a little more. One more thing, do we Lucy or Lucie? I even thought of Luci but I don't know.

I like the traditional spelling. I love have a "y" in my name! In grade school you can make it into a smiley face. Ok....maybe I was the only one how did that sort of thing, but it was fun!

I think Lucy is such a sweet name. i love names like that. When my sister said they were going to name their daughter Grace, and call her Gracie i was a little weary, but i love it!! i just think names like that are so cute, and so girly!!! and funny enough the middle name is elizabeth...Lucy elizabeth... i like it alot

Lucy is a good strong name but you will know her name the minute you lay eyes on her. You can always use Lucy as a middle name. You can name her Jolene....its okey with me.
I've been waiting a long time for someone to name there baby girl after me....Just kidding!!!!

At first I didn't think I liked Lucy but after reading everyone's comments sounds like it will be a cute name. What do I know, I just have boys. My BF's name is Adrian Elizabeth and she goes by Liz. So guess she can decided what she likes best when she gets older too.

Lucy is way cute, I would do "y", not "ie".. Everyone who has that sound in their name is doing "ie" now days.. go more traditional!

Chloe, but the way, is a way cute name. I love it. It is full of spunk.
Rockstar is okay, but maybe not my favorite. :) But you could call them Rocky and that kinda cute.

By the way, how do you do that snazzy quote thing when you are quoting another post?
