We are going to do our family pictures up towards the Layton area. I was hoping that some of you would have some suggestions for a good outdoor location.

Hey I grew up in Layton!! Go Layton! :)

1. Also at the Layton Park, they have pine trees for a Christmas feel.
3. The Union Station in Ogden is about 15 minutes from Layton and they have many cool places for spots there.
4. Adams Canyon would be cool
5. My mind is blank… If I think of any more places… I’ll let you know~

Jamie, I just discovered that bridge the other day when I was at the library. I walked over it and I was looking all around thinking, "this would be an awesome spot to take some pictures. I would definitely try that spot Theresa.

I grew up in Layton as well. Layton City Park was always a favorite picture spot of mine. I used to live in walking distance and spent a lot of time there with my camera. The bridge there is where my pictures were done for my wedding invitations. I always have a hard time with this time of year unless there is fresh snow because everything looks a little dull and drab.

Could somebody tell me where Layton City Park is and where Adams Canyon is. I am from Salt Lake but, we will be doing pictures up there on Dec. 23rd.

(Going North Bound on I-15)

-Take EXIT 330- toward LAYTON (the off ramp will turn a SLIGHT RIGHT) and you want to be going straight onto FORT LN.

-Turn LEFT onto N WASATCH DR. (It's the 3 street light counting the off ramp one)

-End at the Layton Park

Here is the Layton High School address... (Park is right across the street)
440 Wasatch Dr, Layton, UT 84041, US

I think that they are doing construction on Adams canyon and it's closed.

No. My husband works in Ogden and will need to drive down and then go back to work. So we had to find a closer location. We are pushing the family pictures because my sister and her husband live in CA and only come here together about every 3 yrs.

By the way, Layton city puts on a pretty neat light display this time of year for free. You can stay in your car and drive the loop or walk through it. It is worth checking out if you are ever in that area at night.
