All the intro classes are the same one. I did an advanced bag topper class in December too-Meagan which one where you at?

Aren't you the cutest teacher ever? I should attend just to hear your voice. I miss it.

I have several friends who have expressed interest, but don't have photoshop yet. Having never attended a class myself (well, except for the last half of the online organizing class) I'm just wondering what it will be like... is it just you going through the basics of photoshop on your computer? Do you think if they just watch it without being able to play along it would be beneficial?

p.s. you do have a great voice! After living in Philly for so long, it's nice to hear a "southern Utah" accent ;)

Britt-Very funny! I'd think after 3 days of it in November, you'd have had enough!
Lynnette-it's actually quite interactive! I take questions from the participants and review things they need help on. So after the initial class items, we have time to play together! And you are so nice! I really never think of myself as having an accent-I'd love one though!

Both-heehee. I need all the help I can get. Actually I think I knew most of what you talked about in the beginner class but I did pick up a few tricks. The bag topper class was really awesome - TONS that I didn't know in there. I guess I just consider myself a beginner so I in my head I need the beginner class.

Even if you are not considered a beginner, the CD's are worth it for the templates, tips & kit! They are so cute!

I loved the class today and was trying to use some of the skills you taught about. I have PSE 6.0 and I'm having trouble cropping a picture more than once like you did today with your son's pic. I think I'm missing a step.

Hi Tammy! Welcome to the forum!

I wasn't in the class but I can help you. There are tons of ways to do the same thing. Here are a couple:

To crop using the crop tool you simply
1) select the crop tool
2) in the options bar select the options you want (you don't have to change anything - just be aware of what options there are)
3) use the crop tool to select the area you want to crop
4) press enter (or click the check box in the options bar or under your picture IF your version of Photoshop has that)
5) to crop another time follow the steps again.
Common mistake: If you drag the crop tool only a tiny bit on your page it will grey almost everything out and look weird. Right click, choose cancel (or something like that) and then start again.

Another way is with any of the marquee tools:
1) Select the marquee tool you want
2) Drag it around your picture to the size you want.
3) Choose the move tool and move this selection to another open document.

Clear as mud? As any questions you want.

Thanks April for trying to help. In today's class Alishaw was showing how to have one big picture and then 3 other smaller pictures cropped differently from the big picture. When I crop my picture I no longer have the original one to crop again. If I undo history it removes my cropped picture back to its original picture. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Did you duplicate the picture to being with? Only a thought. Sorry if it doesn't help.

In that case you just need to move it to a new document before you start over. For example if you have a 12x12 scrapbook page open as well as a picture, you could move the cropped picture over to the 12x12 page, then start over and recrop it to the second size you want.

Thanks, Jenny & April. I will try both of those suggestions. Tammy
