Oh man you guys. I am so mad at my computer right now you don't even know. Ok so today I go and buy Photoshop Elements 6. I hope that will work because that is the only one they had. So I come home (and at this point I am still super excited you know) I loaded it up all ecstatic to start scrappin'! Well I can't figure a dang thing out. I made a page (I think) that seemed kinda cute and I couldn't figure out how to save it or do anything with it!
So let me tell ya my problemo:
I want to make scrapbook pages and when I go to "create" I can make a "photo album" or a "photo collage." Are either of these right? Or am I way off? So I go to photo album and it makes me pick like 20 pages, that all have the same layout! So then I try collage and I just don't get it. Which one do I do? Or is there a separate way I can just make single pages and save them one at a time?
If anyone can tell me what to do I would TOTALLY appreciate it.
So I was playing around, got a really cute page and I don't want to be stuck with the rest of this "album" but I can't figure out how to save the first page
Ok someone tell me too if I am making a fool out of myself. I have never done a forum before...is this too much information? Do I need professional help?!?!?!?! Like I said my computer is making me so mad. I have been on here for hours. I am going crazy!

You will get a better answer from someone besides me. But to start you ask a good question, and you gave good information.

I don't personally use photoshop 6 myself, so I am not quite sure what you are looking at with the album vs collage. But is there an option to "start from scratch" or "blank project" or something along those lines, maybe in small print when you first start photoshop???

Well the first thing you do is go to the edit and enhance photo's button.

If you will read some of the tips that April have put on the web site they will help a lot.

Hey pal! Thanks for writing! "I do have a start a blank..." Is that what I am looking for? Can I still do all the cool layouts and stuff that the photo album has?

In there you have to start from scratch. But that is the whole idea. You add things one at a time like when you are working with paper. They are called you layers.

Yep. Go with Start a Blank. And that will be where you can start. Drag over a background and start adding what you want. I think that is the right path to get you started.

I want to show you guys! Open your layout up in PS again then click File>Save for web. This tutorial (http://www.digitalscrapbookmemories.com/tips/emailingYourPictures.asp)is for a different version of PS but it should still help you quite a bit. You have to get the number under 244 to be able to post it here. Again, go to this tutorial (http://www.digitalscrapbookmemories.com/tips/emailingYourPictures.asp)and you'll figure out how to save it right. Then once you are done saving it click on the little paper clip above to post it or find the attach files section below this.

EVERYTHING is frustrating and hard in the beginning but once you keep practicing you'll be amazed how easy it will get. Don't give up. Read lessons 1-8 here (http://www.digitalscrapbookmemories.com/digitalScrapbookTips.asp)and you'll get some good pointers.

Glad you are posting. Your post was perfect. We needed that information to be able to help you better.

Just go to the main category and there is a section called online classes. Check there periodically to see when a class is offered.
