Problem Changing Colors

I can change the color of an element using hue/saturation. The problem that I am having is that when I move it to my layout the color changes back to the original color. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? I use PSE 4.0. Thanks for your help.

I just tried a quick sample test with CS3, and it worked as expected. Maybe someone else with 4.0 can give it a test too.

One quick idea to make it work is to make your change, then save the image to your desktop, then import it back in to your layout.

I did not explain that well, but hopefully it makes sense.

But even if you have that element on your layout, but on a different layer you should be able to work with just that layer and make the adjustments. Is your element and your layout on multiple layers?

I tried changing the color on my layout and the entire thing changes colors. It is still in layers and I had the right one highlighted.

I have elements 5 and when I change the Hue and Saturation on the layers palet it changed the whole project. When I went up to Enhance it would let me change just the layer I was selected on. I hope that it works for you
