I'm trying to center text right in the middle of my page. I have no idea how to do this in CS2! Could someone please help me with my stupid question? Thanks!

I can think of two ways..
1st: you could turn your guide lines on and try to do it that way...
2nd: Type it on a different page. When everything is typed out move the text layer on to the lo page. If you hold down shift while you drag it on it will automitcally place that layer in the center of your page..

I would do the second way! Good luck!

Jenny, try this....
1. Select your text layer.
2. Hold down the shift button and select your background paper
3. Hover your mouse over the little boxes in option bar (when the move tool is selected) until you find the one that says "align horizontal centers" or "align vertical centers" and click the one that is applicable to you.

All of these little alignment tools come in really handy at different times. There are also options to align top/bottom/right/left edges and to distribute the layers.

OR you could stretch your text box (evenly) over the entire page and hit the "center paragraph" option;)

I love those options. I use them a lot when I'm placing alphas...to get the bottoms to line up exactly, and when I want multiple eyelets to be spread out at the exact same distance.
