One of the coolest things I learned in the recent picture perfect class (taught by the amazing Alisha) is how to do a spot of color on a b&w photo. I used some photos from the last fourth of July and made this layout. I just love this effect! Thanks Alisha!

Wow! Awesome page. Where was the picture taken that you are standing under the LOVE letters? That is so cool!

It's in downtown Philadelphia, there's a tiny little courtyard called Love Park with that statue and a fountain behind it.

Is it easy to explain? I had to miss the class because I had a ton of family in town.

I explained it on my scrapbooking blog... I'm not the best at explaining things so I hope it makes sense. You can check it out here (http://scrapping-is-life.blogspot.com/2008/04/color-spotting-technique.html)and let me know if you have questions...

Lynnette, your instructions were great and easy to follow for people that have never done it (I would think so anyway..) The only thing I would edit is that the adjustment layers are on the bottom of the layer palette in the full version. Other than that it was great! Good job!

I didn't attend the class, but I saw this on Scrapbook Memories (this is the one we were talking about Crystal). There are directions and a video you can watch if you register.

Lynette's instructions were awesome! I knew that just from reading them that I had seen that before. I was just thinking some people are more visual - maybe the video would help.

Thanks for the tip Crystal. I've only ever used Elements so I have no clue how things differ with the full version on Photoshop!

No problem! I just didn't want anyone to get confused if they had the full version and couldn't find it! I never knew what they were used for until I took Alisha's class! It was great; I can't wait for the next one!
