I have decided to do a baby book for my SIL. I have a title page but I am still working on it. The first page is a place for all her birth info and then the second page I am going to put an envelope there out of coordination paper so she can right down her birth story and put it in there. Then I have made a page for each month where she can right down the babies weight and height and stuff. My question is for the first few months should I have favorite food? Cause she will just be having formula or breast milk the first few months. And if so what should I change it to? I was thinking maybe favorite things. Any other ideas?

I am also going to make a page where she can put the babies picture that goes with each month.

How cute!! It looks great so far. I think you can probably leave out the favorite food until she's a little older, but I'm not sure what you should replace it with. If you can't think of anything, you could just leave it off and put more room for "New this month". There are so many new things in the early months that it might be nice to have the extra room. Just a thought.

So cute and what a great idea!! Maybe have a page with some of her firsts, like first bath, first haircut, first time rolling over

Very cute! I love the colors. I agree that you should not include the favorite foods at first. There really would be no point.
She will really enjoy it, it is very cute!

My favorite thing to have when i had my son is to have a calendar that I could jot down a quick note to myself about what happened that day. It made it really easy to keep track of ll those "firsts" and "favorites" until i had time to write them down in his baby book or scrapbook them. Just an idea, maybe you could put together a cute quick calendar for her first year that coordinates with your baby book.

I like it Jessie. I agree about leaving off the favorite foods and maybe changing it to favorite things like you suggested. That way they can fill in her favorite lullaby, blanket, or even some of Mom's favorite things like special outfits or quiet times with baby. Very cute.

And Tracie that is a great idea. I've been struggling with baby gift ideas for some friends that are on baby number 2 or 3. They have most of the essentials, but what a great way to keep track of things. I think I may steal that idea, if that is ok.

I still write things down on my calendar even though my kids are 4 and 6. I have a section for notes on mine and that is where I write down the fun things they say or do.
