Hey guys and gals! I thought I would post a layout I did during the retreat based on Catherine's class about quadrants. She did a great job and I'm really happy with the way this turned out.

Amy, your page turned out super cute! I love the faded pics of your nephew, and the way the photo is framed on three sides with the bottom torn. What a cute pic and title too!

I was actually able to catch most of the class about quadrants! It was an awesome class, and I can't wait to try the technique. Amy (CM) and Jenny, quadrants are just splitting the page into four sections. It can be evenly split into four squares, split into two squares and two rectangles, or any number of other ways.

Thanks! Amy and Jenny quadrants are just the idea of separating your layout into four pieces.

Hi! That page is super cute! I love it! I am new to this whole digital scrapbooking thing and I am trying to decide what cds to purchase. We are way into the cowboy thing so I was wondering where you got that cowboy stuff?? Thanks!

In looking at Amy's layout I can see things from the Playground CD and the Oh Boy! CD and from the Garden Beginner CD. Did I miss any? I think there may be some things from other designers/kits as well.

If you are new the beginner CDs are great b/c they have some awesome video tutorials on there. Although I don't think any of them have cowboy-ish stuff. For the more boy-ish I think the Playground and the Oh Boy CDs are my favorites. But seriously - just get them all! :D

Kristal great extraction and color choices! Kelli great job...your layout features those pictures so well!

Thanks everyone for your nice comments! To answer a few questions...Amy (caulensmom) I made him pop by using the magnetic lasso tool to outline him and then selected the inverse and used the gaussian blur just to make the background a little fuzzy and then I selected just his face and sharpened it a little. If you want a more detailed description let me know and I will do one.

Madeline is right...the stuff is from the Playground, Oh Boy and Garden CDs...and there are a few other things from other designers. If you want to know about those PM me and I will give tell you.
