I have had so much fun scrolling through your blogs. There are so many talented and interesting people here. I haven't posted on any of your blogs yet but I love lurking. Thanks for the inspiration.

If your blog isn't in your siggie what is the website so we can check yours out?

Here's a link to my scrapbook blog. I post new pages according to the date of the pictures, so the newest pages aren't always at the top of the blog. I usually put a new post referencing new pages with links to make it easy to see any new pages I've put on the page since the last time you visited.

I don't have any of the info about the products used on the pages on this blog, but you can always post a comment on the blog and I'll let you know what the products are. I plan to put that information on my blog at some point in the near future.:p

Those are so cute. I like the double layouts. That's really fun. Those are gorgeous!!!

By the way. . . This might sound really dumb, but what's a blog. I've just been out of the country for a while and I have heard that word so many times but I still don't know what it is.

Thanks for the compliment. I make some single pages, but usually I do double page spreads. I almost always work with a 24 X 12 inch canvas, and I put a guide at the 12 inch mark just for reference.

Blog stands for web log. It's pretty much a personal webpage where you can post pictures, write journal entries, or share any info you like with friends and family. I use blogspot.com for my blog, but I know there are other .coms out there for bloggers. Blogspot is free and pretty easy to use if you want to create your own blog.

Alyson, great blog idea only for scrapping. I've just begun working on mine for the last few months, and I've yet to figure out how to put a cool header in and gallery for my LOs. Any advice?

Gorgeous work Alyson!! I only have a photography blog I use for clients and a few family pics. I am just starting in this biz so I do really cheap work in exchange for experience.

April Foster, I actually have three blogs, one personal, one for book reviews (I listen to books on tape since I have no time to read), and one for scrapbooking. I know there are a lot of cool things you can do with the headers and backgrounds, but I don't ever have time to mess with that stuff. I used to be able to do a lot of cool things with my blogs, but they've changed the webpage and I haven't had a chance to mess around with the new stuff.

Michelle_e, your pictures are gorgeous. I really want a digital SLR so I can take better pictures. What kind of camera do you have? I love my P&S, but it doesn't do all the stuff that an SLR can do.

Michelle, You really do take gorgeous pictures. I think you would be able to charge more, base on your pictures you can't tell you're 'unexperienced'!

Caulensmom, thanks so much. I really need to work on some more layouts, but I'm studying for finals right now and participating in the Amazing Digi Scrappin Race. Hopefully the next three weeks (after finals and before Fall semester) I'll be able to get some more done. I'm also planning on updating the blog to include the credits for each layout during that time, so if you're wondering what products I used you can check back soon.

April Foster, I figured out how to put cool headers into blogspt. I still don't know how to do galleries though. You may have already figured this out, but someone might be able to use this info. This is only from blogger (aka as blogspot.com)

For a custom made header (these instructions are for the updated templates, so if you've had your blog for a long time and haven't updated you template it won't be the same. All new blogs are already updated.):

1. Create a custom header with height and width to match the size on the page. (look below for instructions on how to find this info.)
2. Save your header as a JPEG
3. Upload your header to a webpage through photobucket.com (or some similar program)
4. Login to your blog and go to template (or layout).
5. Click the edit button on the header area.
6. Click the circle next to Image "from the web" (for some reason it doesn't like to work for me if I used an image from the computer)
7. Enter the address from your photobucket image (should be listed under the image)
8. Then click "instead of title and description" (this option is not always there...it depends on your layout)
9. Click save changes.
10. Preview your blog before making the final save to make sure it turned out okay.

To find the pixel size of your header:

1. Go to your page
2. Click "Page" and "View Source"
3. Do a search for "header" (you may have to hit "find next" a couple of times)
4. Under this you should see "width" and "height" with px behind them. These should be the dimensions you use to create your header.

I hope this wasn't too confusing. Just ask if you need anymore help and I'll see what I can do.

Thank you so much! I am definately going to try and do this. The normal headers are just so boring!

h, I'm not sure how to do that. You could put a link on your website that links to a blog on blogspot or something.

So, I want to create a blog however I don't know where to start. Is it free, which site is the best? Can anyone help me. I'm completely not computer savvy! I guess thats why I married a computer geek! After I've set it up how do I put it in my signature at the bottom? sorry, so many questions!

Jenny, I use blogspot which is free. Just go to their site (www.blogger.com (https://www.blogger.com/start)) and sign up. The site will take you through, step by step, the whole setup process. It's pretty simple. There are more difficult things you can do later on (like adding custom headers), but only if you want to.

To put it in your signature, go to "User CP" in the menu bar of the forums. Click "edit signature". Put the name of your blog in the box (looks like the comment boxes). Then highlight the name and click the "insert link button" (looks like a world with a little link on it). This will bring up a pop-up window where you type the address to your blog. Then click "save signature" and you're all finished.
