So I got on here a few days ago, typed out all the instructions, hit submit, walked away and just assumed it was posted. NOPE! So sorry, so here it is (again, kinda)

1. Check your monitor's resolution setting by going to:
Windows XP: Start/Control Panel/Display/Settings
Windows Vista: Start/Control Panel/Personalization/Display Settings
MAC: Apple/About This Mac/More Info (it's a little button on that window that pops up)/ Graphic Display/look for resolution

Write that number down. (ie 1440X900)

2. In PSE, create a new blank file (File/New/Blank File)

3. Input your monitors dimensions (WXH) and a DPI of 100

4. Create you layout and remember to leave spots for your desktop icons depending on where you have yours.

5. Save as a jpg (File/Save As) Remember where you put that file.

6. Now you need to make it your desktop wallpaper by going to:
Windows XP: Start/Control Panel/Display/Desktop/ Browse to find file
Windows Vista: Start/Control Panel/Personalization/Desktop Background/choose your photo and then at the bottom choose Full
MAC: System Preferences/Desktop & Screen/choose folder and find photo

Voila!! Here are a few examples I made from the Family Ties CD

Alishaw, You do such a great job! Thanks for the ideas! You did great teaching at the event. So is "Alishaw" how you spell your name? I've never seen it spelled that way anywhere else.

I'm really Alisha but my maiden name was Watson so I was AlishaW and then married a Shaw so the AliShaw still kinda worked so I've kept it.
My poor email is 10+ years old and I hate to change it ;)
Thanks Ang! You too! Beginners can be challenging in a group setting like that and you did and awesome job!

Thanks Alisha. I go to shabby princess and get her free one every month. Now I know how to get the right dimensions for my screen.

When I create something it automatically puts it in my PSE organizer. When you rt click on the img there is an option for "make this my desktop". I usually do that so I don't have to save the file again as a jpg.

here is my sept desktop I acquired from Shabby Princess.

love incorporating scrapbooking into my everyday life.
here's my example!
The arrow is meant to point at Cory's icons for his games, this way he can find them easily!!

Michelle, that is SO cute! I've just been downloading the free ones up to now... but I think I'm getting inspired to make my own... It might be a fun challenge to do when we're all recuperated after the Olympics challenge! :)

it was easier to create than a scrapbook page simply because the pressure was off to make the perfect page!
