Anyone down to do a layout to lyrics for your favorite song?
It would be sooo much fun! Take photos that would corrdinate with lyrics to your favorite song and include MOST or ALL of the song lyrics in the layout. If you want post a link to the song if you have it so we all can get a full feel of the layout. Dont be shy. This will be really fun and a different direction in creativity! I am also %100 sure no one will include profanity or curse words in the layouts. ;)
I have a layout I did to shane and mine song. I will post it, but I will also do a new one! :)
The song is " I miss you" by Incubus

Kelli, I love your LO & think that song is adorable for you guys! And may I say, "ow! Ow!" because you look absolutely stunning in those photos! I've never seen your hair straight like that! I'm always jealous how curly girls can do the curly thing or the straight thing. How nice to have some options! April's sisters have gorgeous curly hair & I wonder if April does too, but straightens it. Hmmm...

Great job, Tyler! The "Oh Boy" CD is a favorite of mine, too. Nice use of elements in your layout! Looks great!

Okay so I made the layout and it's in my album (I haven't a clue how to make a cute little thumbnail for ya'll to click on; feel free to instruct me in this)
the lyrics are from an incubus song titled Nowhere Fast. It's kinda how I feel since I became a readymade mom of 2 at the ripe ol age of 17. Like the plans I had for myself will never be fulfilled because my distractions (kids hubby house) have taken up my time. I didn't link to the actual song bcuz it does have some fowl (haha) language in it. But you can youtube search it if you want to hear the actual song.

Will I ever get to where I'm going?
Will I ever follow through with what I had planned.
I guess it's possible that I have been a bit distracted
and the directions for me are a lot less in demand.
Will I ever get to where I'm going?
If I do, will I know when I am there?
If the wind blew me in the right direction would I even care?
I would.
I take a look around; it's evident the scene has changed.
And there are times when I feel improved upon the past.
Then there are times when I can't seem to understand at all
and yes it seems as though I'm going nowhere...
really effin fast.

thanks Kelli! I literally spent more time deciding on the lyrics than I did working on the layout. And I don't yet have a nice stash of goodies so I had to mix and match stuff from other sets, and then colorize them to make them match. I could never do that with paper scrapbooking. I Love It!!!

this a fun challenge! I will have to figure out something with my favorite song and it will be fun to get another weding page done with our song. I haven't been scraping much lately cause I have been makeing alot of announcements and invites... so there goes all of my photo shop time. Hopefully the endless projects will slow down soon and I can get scrap'n' again.

Wendy, you can buy square frames. I think 12x12 is more common that 8x8, but I have seen both. You are most likely to find them at a craft store like Michaels or something, or I bet you could find some online.

Another fun way to display a page is to get a square tile and mod podge it onto the tile, then you can either hang it or get a little stand to put it on.

OK, I made a page for this! I always love music related things. I chose the song "Feels Like Home" by Bonnie Raitt. You might have heard it in the movie "Michael." Here's a youtube link. I have no idea who these people are...but they sure look nice!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=461kyjIg6cg

Thanks RobRob. The brush is actually called "starburst" and it's right below the regular star brush. It was fun to play with but I was having a hard time getting the paths of the stars to flow "naturally" (for lack of a better word). That's only because of user eror though.

HELP! How do I attach a thumbnail or link to my album?

digimad
06-20-2008, 07:33 AM
To attach a thumbnail, click on the paperclip, then browse to find your layout. To include a link to your layout in your album, first go to the layout in your album, copy the address in the address bar. Then go to the thread you would like to post in and click on the world with a link on it and paste the address for your page. hope this is making sense.:)

I loved this challenge because I have been wanting to do a page for my little girl that almost literally does eat everything and I had planned to use at least the title and chorus of this song. This was just the motivation I needed to actually get it done.

The song is "E Eats Everything" by They Might Be Giants. It is on their "Here Comes the ABC's" album. A great album that my kids and I both love listening to.
<object width="225" height="144"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/FvBjEtfu7sI&hl=en"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/FvBjEtfu7sI&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="225" height="144"></embed></object>
You need to go about a minute and 48 seconds in to get to the song.

The "E" graphic is from the Silly Boy Cuddle Bug kit from Shabby Princess.

Thanks! Ctrl-Shift-J fully justifies the text box - so the edges are straight on both the right and left sides. There are only buttons for left justified, centered and right justified so apparently you have to know the key stroke to do full justification.

I decided to do a music lyrics page for this photo of my daughter with her guitar. The song is by Miley Cyrus and I think it's a nice message for little girls. Not all "role models" are good these days, so despite how processed she is, as long as her lyrics stay uplifting I'll support Hannah Montana! :) Here's a link to the lyrics (http://www.lyricstop.com/m/makesomenoise-hannahmontana.html) if you don't want to try to read it on the page. And here's a link to the page (http://forum.digitalscrapbookmemories.com/album.php?albumid=84&pictureid=1024) in my album.
