A great fine art instructor once told me that one of the best ways to improve your own art is to copy art you admire. The theory behind that is that you learn more about your own style through imitating other's styles & thus make your own art better. In art class, it was recommended to copy the classics': DaVinci, Monet, Raphael, etc.
For this challenge, we're going to "copy" or "scraplift" layouts we admire that have been posted in our forum or each user's DSM gallery. Post a link to the LO you're scraplifting, including who designed it, along with your completed LO & credits.
(Don't forget to leave some praise when looking through DSM user galleries. Let's litter this place with warm fuzzies!!! :ILoveIt:)

Cute page Quinn, when did you find time to do it? If we have the whole month to work on this I will give it a try, because it may take me longer than usual to get a page done.

Cute page Quinn, when did you find time to do it?
Thanks Jenny! Amazingly, all 3 kids took naps at the same time this afternoon & I did it then. P.S. How's life with your 3?

Going okay, just because the baby sleeps so much right now. I'm actually going to start working on his announcement right now while he's sleeping and the other two are watching a movie. How is baby Norah doing? hope she is doing okay.

Norah's doing alright. Today is the big day: test results come back & we find out if she needs more testing... I'm kinda nervous.
How fun that you're working on his announcement! I'm sure it will be fantastic! Can't wait to see it! Thanks for the reminder; I need to get crackin' on Norah's. Can you believe they're both in their third week of life? Time is flying!

Glad to hear Norah's doing ok. It's scary. I know how you feel. My daughter was 2 weeks old when she somehow got meningitis. We got to spend 3 days in the hospital, too. Yuck. At least my mom could take my son while we were in the hospital. Her mom died the same day we got admitted so she took a few days off from work. She said having our son there helped keep her mind busy. Moms are amazing, aren't they?

Thanks for the challenge, Quinn. It seems like I always copy someone! I hadn't seen some of these other LOs, so now I have more to scraplift. Thanks! I don't know how to post it, but I scraplifted Alishaw's "9 Months Old" LO. Thanks for the inspiration Alishaw.

what a great LO!! I love your color scheme & use of elements, RubySass!

BTW, to post a link to the LO you scraplift just find the LO and copy the web address. Then you can type "Alishaw's LO" in your text, highlight that & click on the button in the message area that looks like a world with a "link" chain. That brings up the hyperlink box where you paste the LO's web address into. That should make it so when anyone clicks on "Alishaw's LO" in your text, it will redirect them to the web page with Alishaw's LO on it. Lemme know if I made this confusing. I feel like I'm stumbling all over this explanation. Great question, though!

Ok, here is mine but I don't totally love it. I scraplifted Jill's page here (http://forum.digitalscrapbookmemories.com/album.php?albumid=26&pictureid=192). I like her page way way better, that's why I picked her's but mine page is kind of eh. Oh well, I got one done anyway.

Jenny its awesome! I dont think anyones is better than the others, we just each apply our own stlyes to similar pages making even the most copied page individualized (sp).
So....your pages are AWESOME...WOOOO GO JENNY!! hahaha How is your new baby doing? Are you managing to get ANY sleep? :)
