We decided it would be fun to start a Quick Page Exchange here at Digital Scrapbook Memories.
A quick page is a pre-done page with open space for your photos and journaling to be inserted. They are great if you are short on time or inspiration, perfect for themed books or scrapping one event all with the same kit and look.
Each month we will choose a kit from one of the Digital Scrapbook Memories CD's. YOU WILL HAVE TO OWN THE CD TO PARTICIPATE! If you do not have that CD yet, the exchange will run all month long and you will have plenty of time to order it here (http://www.digitalscrapbookmemories.com/buyNow.asp) or pick it up at your local scrapbook store and still participate!!
Those participating will need to post here that they want to play so we know who to expect a page from. Then you will create a 12X12 or 8.5X11 PNG quick page using that month's kit, post the preview in the exchange thread and email me (alisha@digitalscrapbookmemories.com) the high resolution file by the last day of the month. Please name your file with your name and the kit name. (so for example mine would be alishashaw_flowerpatch.png)
I will repackage all the quick pages together and every participant will get the entire collection of quick pages!! So not only do you have the amazing CD, but you now have a great collectino of QP's to match! SUPER FUN!!
Commonly Asked Questions:
Q: Do I have to use only items in that chosen kit?
A: Your page must be 90% from that months chosen kit. Any and all additional items must be from the same CD or created PERSONALLY by you or under a commercial license use. So if you need a square shape, you are allowed to create that personally with your shape tool. If you have purchased a commercial action license for something, you may use that. No other papers, embellishments, overlays, brushes, etc may be used so we are within copywrite guidelines. If you are unsure, email me (alisha@ultimateimagetanning.com).
Q: What is a PNG file?
A: A PNG file allows for a transparency where you would normally put a photo. So you don't actually add any photos, you just leave an empty space for them to be added by the person using the quick page. If you aren't totally sure how to do that, email me (alisha@digitalscrapbookmemories.com)and I can help you.
Q: How should I email you the final file?
A: I will need the full size 12X12 quick page you created in a PNG format emailed to me by attachment or sharing web site (ie 4shared.com or sendspace.com)
Q: Can I get the quick pages if I don't submit one?
A: Unfortunately, no. As Digital Scrapbook Memories products, their use is limited to those who have purchased the CD's and the exchange is for those who participate. You get so much on these CD's though that you'll be glad you own them!!
Q: When will I get the pages from the exchange and how will I get them?
A: You will be send a PM with a download link to a zip file(s) and can then download, unzip and enjoy!!
Q: How do I credit one of these quick pages if I use them for a layout?
A: You will say "QP by Alisha Shaw using Digital Scrapbook Memories Flower Patch CD" That's why we have you put your name on the file name.
Q: How many pages can I submit?
A: Due to the amazing response & talent here, we have to limit the submissions to 2/person. The final album got too time consuming to download and store so we'd had to go with two.
Q: Can I share the pages I create or receive from the exchange?
A: Unfortunately, no. These pages are still protected under copyright with DSM and subject to the same terms the original kit is under. You may use them to create personal albums or gifts, but they cannot be redistributed as PNG quick pages for anyone else to use even if you created the QP.
