Did you all see that Photoshop Elements 7.0 is now available for pre-ordering?

Should be released Oct 15. So if you have been waiting to purchase, you may want to wait and 6.0 will come down in price or make the jump to 7.0. I don't have enough details yet on the new one to know what all has changes, so we'll see.

Would you still suggest CS3 over the others?

One review I read says this version has an action player -- a big improvement. Wondering when they're going to come out w/ v 7.0 for mac?

Would you still suggest CS3 over the others? Only if you have a lot of money to spare. I have CS3 and I love it but I don't think you need anything more than Elements for scrapbooking.
Crazy how often they upgrade. Actually those of us that keep getting the newer and better versions are the crazy ones. I still think Elements 2.0 is just fine for scrapbooking although I do like a couple minor changes to the newer versions.

I have CS3, but only because my hubby needs it for work that he does from home. My friend has Elements and I have helped her start to digiscrapbook and it's really all you need. I love CS3, but it has a lot of bells and whistles that you'll probably never use for digiscrapping.

I am fine with what I have. I have heard some complaints about 5 so I have stuck with 4.0

I love my 4.0 too except for the lack of actions. But I don't know if I'd rather go CS3 if I was going to upgrade instead of Elements....decisions....
Thanks for sharing, Alisha Loo.

Do they have an upgrades available or do you have to purchase the whole program? I would like to see the differences in 7.

The upgrade pricing is barely worth it (through Adobe) as you can usually find the whole new one for the same if not a better price at a warehouse store or on the internet.

Hi guys. We upgraded to CS3, but we did it through Academic Superstore at a huge savings. If you've not heard of this before, Academic Superstore (and some other sites) offer software to students, teachers and parents of students at big discounts. They have to verify student/teacher standing (not a very big deal), but for something like CS3, the suggested retail price from Adobe was $999 while the academic superstore will sell it to teachers/students for $297. It is the full version. Still a lot of money, but much better than the $999.
