does anyone have any good ideas where I can get a last minute cake. My parents 50th Anniversary Open House is Sunday and I suddenly thought we need a cake ... I would like one with the smooth frosting and ribbons around the border... but I also dont want to spend hundreds of dollars on it... and the place needs to be in the SL Valley

I actually do cakes as a side business. However, I live in Farmington and that might be too far to go. I could deliver, but I would have to charge for delivery for that far.

I know a lot of people who love Schmidt's Pastry Cottage. I've never had their cake, but I hear it's fabulous. They have a several stores, one is in Taylorsville. http://www.saltlakebride.com/site/kb/directory/ext/ext.asp?id=292905475

Schmidts Pastry I think does cakes. Hey I just noticed Peetie posted that. Also, if it is still around Granite Bakery.

My wedding cake lady was amazing and I LOVED her price like 125.00 ... We were late getting to her too and she was able and had no worries about getting us in!

I know this is kind of lame but Walmart can do some pretty cool stuff for cheap. They need only one day notice too!
