Ok, I just got my first software and I thought I had the level of Adobe Photoshop needed to run this, but apparently I don't. I have been looking online and it seems like all of the Adobe photoshop software is over $500... I am not wanting to spend that much!! Does anyone know of a less expensive software I can get so I can start using this?!

I downloaded Photoshop elements 6.0 from the Adobe website and it was 80.00. You can also look for older versions for sale on places like Ebay. I'm sure you will be able to find something much cheaper.

Yes I got Photoshop Elements 6 from Walmart it was like 70-80 dollars something like that. You don't need the full version to scrap!

Heidi, Amazon has Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 (Old Version) $74.99 with a $20 rebate that will make it $54.99. This is a pretty good one to get for the price. The rebate is good until Oct 31st.

Hi HeidiB. We have CS3, but we purchased it through Academic Superstore at a huge savings. If you've not heard of this before, Academic Superstore (and some other sites) offer software to students, teachers and parents of students at big discounts. They have to verify student/teacher standing (not a very big deal), but for something like CS3, the suggested retail price from Adobe was $999 while the academic superstore will sell it to teachers/students/parents for $297. It is the full version. Still a lot of money, but much better than the $999. It may be a lot more program than you really need for scrapbooking, but I've not used elements, so I'm not sure what the comparison is. I also think you can download a trial version from Adobe online for 60 days, just to see if it's for you.

HeidiB, what version do you actually have? Maybe you just want some tips for getting started...
