hey guys,
i am just getting ready to get a new camera and i have been looking online. i found a website thats prices are so much less than everyone elses. so this tends to make me a little leary about them. so i am turning to you guys to see if anyone has used them or knows anything else about them. there address is www.expresscameras.com let me know if anyone knows anything. thanks & happy scrapping.

Sounds like a bad thing. Read some of these reviews.

I usually find reviews like this by simply putting the webname then a comma and the words user reviews or buyer reviews in google.

When you find another place make sure that the camera you are buying has a US warranty. That's important. We like to buy from www.NewEgg.com. We have always had good experiences with them and the prices are good.

I just completed about a month's worth of camera research . . . so this is so fresh to me :) . Express Cameras - I'll ditto what April said. I finally got on the phone and called a few of these kinds of places that advertise online and talked to a customer rep. He very openly told me that the cameras and lenses they sell are of a different grade than you would buy retail elsewhere (plastic components where you would normally find glass or metal, etc.) I appreciated his honesty and then began my search for a good price on a quality product. I ultimately found my 30D on eBay through a store called Camera Land based in New York. They have a retail store as well as selling through eBay and online. They just use eBay as another marketing avenue. Camera Land had the camera + lens kit listed at retail price, but then had a spot for "Make Best Offer". I called the owner of the store and ultimately negotiated a great price for the kit I got. It was packaged wonderfully, everything sealed in new boxes and had all the warranty, manuals, etc. just like purchasing at Best Buy or Wolf camera, etc. But I was able to save a couple hundred dollars through negotiating and then avoiding sales tax. I only have good things to say about my experience.

Hope this helps.

Connie

Ditto on the two lovely gals... keep looking. I'd rather spend a few more dollars to ensure a quality product.
