Have you ever played this game? List three things about yourself (2 truths and one lie). Then, everyone else has to guess what is the lie or since we all don't know each other that well just tell us what the lie is another day if no one guesses.
ETA: I am a dork. Read my next post below...
Here is what I orignally wrote:
I'll go first...
1) I love to hike.
2) My favorite book is the Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom.
3) My mom was born under the Golden Gate Bridge.
Your turn.

Oh my goodness!!! I'm such a dork!!! I put THREE truths! Seriously where is my head? Keith PLEASE don't make fun of me. Ok... I'm seriously so embarrassed. Now I want to delete this thread.:o For the record... I love to hike and The Hiding Place is an amazing book!
Let me start over then you guys have to put your two truths and a lie. Don't put three truths like me. Sigh.
1. I have had ash rubbed all over me after a camp fire.
2. I saw a poisonous sea snake while diving in Fiji.
3. I have had a skunk spray me.

So what do you think? I want to know what everyone else's lie is. You will have to post the answers.

Hee hee...fun game
1. I fell out of moving van as a teenager.
2. I love gardens but hate gardening.
3. I have never been stung by a bee.
Okay, Angie I'm guessing #3 (simply because I don't understand what it is to always have a clean house! LOL)
Lisa, I'll guess #3 (I'm thinking if one is true regarding where you've lived than you may be a traveller but not fancy caffiene. LOL)
And Alex, I'm guessing #2...cause it's too nice here in Canada and figure maybe we'll get you here eventually!!
:) Great game April!
Okay, I want to play.
Angie- Unless the mental institution was under the Golden Gate Bridge, I am guessing that that one is the lie for you! :D
Props to the never had a Coke lady! We should all be so good. Coke is my secret weakness!
April- I am guessing you never have been sprayed by a skunk, otherwise I think Keith would have way too much fun telling that story and we would have heard about it!
Now me:
1. I have an Uncle in a heavy metal band. They are really big in Europe!
2. I am pregnant right now and it was a BIG surprise!
3. I love spicy spicy food. The hotter the better.
Good Luck
Jill

Michelle, I am guessing #3 is the lie? I hope #1 is the lie though... ouch!
Jill I HAVE TO KNOW RIGHT NOW WHICH IS THE LIE! You are killing me with #2. You've never said anything about #1 so I'm thinking that is the lie but I would THINK you would tell the family about #2 before the rest of the world so maybe #2 is the lie. (Jill is my sister in law)
Well, I must confess, number 3 is the lie! I hate spicy food. The other two are true as the day is long. The bands is Clutch and they are acutually really good. And..... I am 10 weeks along. Surprised? So were we!

so when can I introduce your mother in law to this board?
I will call it right now, you are having a boy!! Lets see if I can be right.
I don't think a single soul will be surprised when this turns out to be a boy! (number 4 for us  ) But poor Megan needs some support from somewhere so for her sake we will hope.

Alex, you have lived in 10 places in 7 years? Wow. Tell us more about that.
My lie was #3. I've never been sprayed by a skunk. #1 was true. I was a camp counselor for a year and we had ash fights every week after a campfire. The ashes were cold by that time and super wet from the water we poured on them. Everyone was covered in the blackest black by the end of the fight. It was so much fun. It always washed out perfectly too. Amazing. I'll try and find a picture and show you sometime.

There isn't anything too exciting about the 10 places in 7 years. I lived in Orem when I was in High school and we moved a couple of times. Then I moved to Salt Lake with my family after graduating. Then back to Provo for College at BYU. Then the first summer I worked at Hiese Resort in Ririe, ID. Then back to Provo for a year. Then I spent a great summer in San Diego with some family friends and I also got married. Then back to Provo for a couple more years. Then to Denver for a year for my husband's job. Then we transferred to Salt Lake and lived in an apartment while we found a house. And finally we are in our house and I hope to stay for a while... I am sick of moving!!! I guess it sounds more fun now that it's all on paper, but really I don't want to move any time soon!

#3 was my lie...I hate those little suckers but I had one (a wasp) fly up my shirt and sting me 5 times on the breast!!!! EEEK! :D
April, I fell out of the van while working at summer camp! We had some wild times too but never covered each other in ash. I feel like I may have missed something! LOL! :)
April

5 times on your breast! You poor thing! That makes sence you would fall out of the van during summer camp. You get a little relaxed about car safety on those dirt roads, huh?

Oh ya! Side door open with a bunch of us rollin around the back of the work van! LOL...young and stupid! Worst thing is I got picked up at the front gates and teased my girls that I was getting a ride while they had to walk (young AND cocky! LOL) and then the van turned the corner and those same girls watched me roll out and down a hill! LOL...good thing I have absolutely NO memory of it...I think it MIGHT be embarrassing if I did! Hahahaha :D

Oh my goodness Jamie! I'm not sure which would be worse #1 or #3. Ok... I guess #3 was only one night so I hope #1 is the lie. I think you have a lot of story telling to do.

Nah, not hurt too badly just "shook my computer up" according to my doctor! LOL...it was rez camp for a City of Burlington camp (Ontario Canada). I was 15 so I did a few dumb things. :)
Jamie, I'm with April here...I seriously can't decide which one could be a lie but I sure hope it wasn't #2! Wow...need to hear your stories!
Stephanie
05-18-2007, 11:48 AM

Stephanie... I don't know. You'll have to tell stories too. Is #3 the lie?
Jamie Hamblin

-I have broken every bone in my body. I don't have very strong bones because I hate dairy products! The worst one was when I was about 5 and I was jumping from bed to bed and I missed the bed and hit the bedpost. I was almost paralyzed but I came out with a messed up face and tun of stitches instead.
-I like to eat Pizza Huts meat lovers pizza cold, I’m not sure if it's because when I tried it I was nine months pregnant but I still seem to like it.
-The story about being kidnaped is actually a true story!!! It happened to someone I know. Isn't that sooo sad? I would have killed my brother.

Okay...my house is always clean is the lie! My mom was born in a mental institution. My Grandma wasn't crazy, but my Grandpa was in the army and they converted an old mental institution into the maternity ward. There were no handles on the doors from inside the room. I am grateful to not have had an experience like my grandma did. In the maternity ward they had to line up for everything (hold their babies, get an enema, etc.) Crazy!
As for Jill, Congrats on baby #4! That must have been a surprise since I heard you tell me that #3 was it. That is so great!!!!
Well, I'm glad that you've finally settled in Salt Lake, Alex! Are you coming to the next digi scrap class? I'm excited to see the final product of the secret present that you did for your husband. Have you given it to him yet? What did he think?
And CONGRADULATIONS Jill!! That is so exciting! I hope that it is a girl. Megan needs some support.
And Angie. . . I'm pretty sure that i know yours. Our mom really was born in a mental hospital for the Military. (Our grandma wasn't crazy), I know that you like to scuba dive. . . But your house may not be clean every second of the day. i think that its #3.
Okay people. Here are mine. . .
1. I write piano music and lyrics.
2. I lived in Ecuador and Argentina
3. I am a super clean freak.
Angie and April. . . Don't even say it. Ha! Shhhhhh.
Jamie Hamblin
05-21-2007, 09:32 PM
I say that 3 is the lie because i think everyone hates cleaning!
Do you miss being on ya mission?
