Just a question about Photoshop Elements 5.0. In every other version I have used when you move a picture or a paper on to a new canvas it will automatically "snap" into the corner (like a magnet). But in 5.0 it doesn't do that. What is the trick? Anyone who has 5.0 run into that problem and figured it out?

Try holding down shift when you drag it over. That's what you have to do in CS.

I know in Elements 2 I can turn on or off the "snap to grid." In Elements 2 it is under View>Snap to grid.

I have 5.0, If I remember correctly I just hold the shift key down while draging the pic.

I have CS2, but I can also turn the "snap" feature on or off. In the view menu, if there is a check mark next to "snap" then the feature is turned on. The "snap to" (right below snap) has a side menu that shows checks next to each thing the item will snap to (i.e. document bounds, layers, guides, grid). It is sometimes helpful to have the featured turned off, because if you have one layer trying to line up with another layer when you don't want it to, it can be very frustrating.
Also, if you hold the shift key down while dragging a picture/paper over it will center the item on the page. It's a great tool for centering, but if won't place something in a corner if the item isn't 12X12.
Hope that helps. :D
