Please critique Away! I was messing around this morning, and came up with this! It's nothing special in fact I don't know if I even like it myself! I was trying the tools out, and I AM ADDICTED NOW!

April, thank you for the class last night, it REALLY HELPED as I still have alot to learn, and this Adobe 5.0 is pretty nifty if I don't say so myself! Glad I got it now!

Thank You,
Amber

Good for you!!! That was clever to go and find the swords and skull. You are a very quick learner.

We never talked about printing last night. Make sure you read the tutorial on printing and displaying here...

...then read this thread so you can find an option you like for printing. There are plenty of places that will deliver to you.

Somewhere under window you can click a palette called layer styles or something like that. It will give you options for adding drop shadows and bevels. I think that would be cool on this page. Make sure you are on the right layer before applying the style. You will love this!

Also, I don't know if it would work on this page or not but there are some solid yellow and red papers in the Playground CD somewhere. It may not look right on this page but I thought I would suggest them instead of using the paint bucket for colors. The papers on the CD look a little more real because they have texture in them. Just an idea (that may or may not work).

It makes me so happy to see your page. Thank you so much for sharing!

Thx! I will check out the other features as well!

When I am working on a project and have a CD in the drive, can I open the drive and change the cd to get other options for the pages.

I know most of you save them to the PC, but I like to just have the CD's available. It's easier for me to keep organized. LOL

The Skull was cropped from the hat he is wearing! I wasn;t sure how to use that feature, but I think I figured it out, however on the skull you can see Black, around it, I just didn't spend alot of time messing with it the 1st time because I wanted to figure out how to use that tool.

Now, if you look at the swords, you will see there a little (not much) better which I did the same on the swords as the skull!

Thx for the links and ideas!

Your little boy is so cute. Your first page is way fun. I think that it would be really cute to use a textured paper for the yellow and red papers and maybe add some drop shadows. I love it!

The yellow and red papers are textured, I suppose because I did the color fill on them the tezture is not there. Shoot.. who knows, but I agree! I probably won't change it because it's my very 1st one!

It was super fun, tonight I am going to work on another one, to see what I come up with! My problem in paper scarppin is I tend to be toooo DETAILED, trying to see what looks right, matches etc. With this I can change my mind and just click the button and go right back to what I want or wanted! LOL

Thanks everyone!

Just a quick tip. If you want to change the color of a paper, but not change the texture, try an overlay. On the layers toolbox there is a button that looks like a circle with an F in it. Click that button, select color overlay. When the window pops up, select color overlay again, this time from the blend mode drop down menu, and then select the color you want the overlay to be. You may have to experiment a little to get the color right.

Another way is to adjust the hue/saturation of the paper. That option is under the Image menu, and then adjustments and hue & saturation. You can also push Ctrl + U to bring up the hue/saturation window. Just try moving around the different sliders to see what you like.

Both ways give different results, so you just have to mess around with them a bit to see which you prefer, or which would be better for that project.
