Yea!! Took a quick peak at the early bird challenges--April you are so creative. Can't wait to start scrapin'. I need to load a few of the newer DSM CD's on my computer for this, but I can't get the DVD drive thing to open! Any advice? I'm thinking a butter knife and my 6 year old could get the job done.

Dang! It's already time. I don't have taxes done yet. Think I can justify scrapbooking and making taxes wait? Would my husband still love me? Hmmmm.

What is this about TAXES??? I hate that word. I just give mine to the hubby and let him deal with it. To much for my mind to handle!!!!

Try right clicking on the dvd drive in the My Computer folder and then clicking on eject. And/or in device manager, uninstall the dvd drive. On reboot it should reinstall it.
Also, there should be a small hole on the front of the drive where you can insert a paper clip to release the latch on the drive. Your motor may be worn out. Good luck!!

Thanks for the help! The worn out motor would make sense because I have found my two year old opening and closing it over and over again. A fun game for him--bad news for me.
