Default Weightlifting

Use a strong color palette to create a scrapbook page. You must change the colors of at least 3 papers or embellishments on your page. We want to see bright bold (strong) colors.

Reply to this thread with a link to the layout in your album, or repost the layout here.

Here is mine for Weightlifting. I changed the color of three squares on the paper. I also change the color of the pictures, the circles and the "Now that's Fun" saying. Hope that is enough.

Kim your layout is awesome! Everything is perfect. Looks like a lot of fun they had. Tube slides are the best, I am still guilty of trying to fit down a few tube slides here and there!

Amy, I thought you were a moviestar and now I know. Telluride, Colorado--isn't that where all the stars hangout?

You guys want to know something funny? When I was playing with my kids on the slides at a fast food place this little kid came up to me and said in this little voice, "HEY!! Mom's aren't allowed to be up here!!" The sad thing is...it's happened twice! 2 different kids. :-(

I love both layouts! I've never been "caught" playing on "kid" stuff. I only get the evil eye from the kids. I didn't think young kids could do the evil eye but they can! Its worse then when adults do it!

My favorite trick is to find a picture with lots of colors I like. Crate and Barrel is one of many good places to look for a picture with great colors. Change your Digital Scrapbook Memories papers and embellishments to match those colors.

You could also copy another persons color choices on their layout this same way but still be able to use different papers.

If anyone needs a tutorial, click here.

Ok, really not jazzed about this particular challenge. I will have to make another one to make up for my lack of creativity... but it's really late in this time zone! Must sleep! I did want to share this website I found from Sherwin Williams. I had an "interior design" seminar this year and they mentioned the Sherwin Williams color predictions and gave us swatches. This website is kind of like that. It's a really cool application.

Pages found here.

Default Pretty Boys

I changed the colors of all background papers and embellishments. I also put a filter--watercolor on the picture. It was a bit blurry and this filter helped sharpen it. I need to give credit to Amy (A-Z) for the stamps on the embellishments, I remember she did hers that way a few months back.
