Default Digi Olympics (early start challenges)

Are you guys getting excited for the Digi Olympics? I am!!! I can't wait to see all of your great pages!

I told you I would post two of the challenges early for any of you who want a head start. You are welcome to work on these challenges now or wait until the contest officially begins to choose from many other challenges.

Each challenge will have an Olympic theme to it. Here are the first two challenges to choose from. You will have specific instructions on where to post these layouts when the contest starts. You are welcome to post your pages now, but may be required to post them somewhere else later.

Cycling: Scrapbook with circles. You could make a round page like this, a page with lots of circles, or a page with at least one large circle.

Wrestling: Create a masculine page.

I'm so excited!! I have a good idea for the circle one, so hopefully it will turn out the way I imagine.

I am excited for this. I may have to wait since I am on pain pills and am not quite coherent enough to do much.

You never know, maybe you'll come up with something of the wall you'd never think of while you're lucid. Did you have your knee surgery? How did it go?

Quinn, very cute. Good way to start the Olympics. I haven't started yet but I have a quick question just so everything is clear and legal. Should our LOs be 100% DSM?

Ok, I have another question. Can we scraplift another page for these Olympic challenges or do we have to design an original? And to answer montmeag's question, I think April wrote somewhere that we needed to use all DSM products.

Ok, so here is my attempt at a masculine page.
Credits:
Paper: DSM Oh Boy "Rough Stuff"
Frame: DSM Oh Boy "Tool Time"
Twine: DSM Family Ties "Heritage"
Tag: DSM Family Ties "Heritage"
Date stamp: DSM Moods "Festive"
Fonts: Verdana and 2 Peas Miss Happy

Ok, so I added a second version of this page after trying a different blending mode last night. I think the new one is better.

"Make sure you buy a Digital Scrapbook Memories CD now if you don’t have one. You’ll need to use Digital Scrapbook Memories products in your scrapbook layouts. "

This was all I could find on the rules page. It wasn't real clear if they need to just have some/most/all DSM.

Meagan,
I put the photo above my paper and then changed the blending mode. On the first one I used the overlay blending mode and on the second one I used the luminosity blending mode. Then I created an adjustment layer and used a black and white gradient map and then changed the blending mode of the adjustment layer to difference. I also messed around with the opacity of these layers.
