Default Triathlon

Create a scrapbook page using the following three Photoshop techniques:
  • Drop Shadows – Customize the drop shadows on your page.
  • Extraction – Use the selection tools to cut part of a picture out. Need help? Read this.
  • Hue/Saturation – Change the color of your background paper or change the color of a portion of your extracted picture.

Well look at you go Lizy on your extraction! I like the noisy drop shadow on it--I'm going to try that. Also, I like the torn edge.

My triathlon page! I changed the color of the background paper and the stars on the patterned paper. I customized the direction and size of the drop shadows. I think extractions are a pain in the butt!

I love how the stars are coming out of the moon?? shape, Madeline. I am going to have to copy that idea. I also think extractions are a pain. I am not sure about those.

I'm stuck on this one! Does someone want to come over and browse my pictures and tell me which one to use and how to use it? Pretty much do it for me but let me take the credit! LOL!

This one was hard to start on! Jenny, just find one that would look cool extracted and go for that one! Once you've got the extraction down, changing the colors and messing with the shadows is cake!

Thanks for the support Robin! I'm gonna need it today! Grace decided to be an artist today while I was in the shower. Who knew that a ten minute shower could be so damaging? She colored on four doors, a wall and our gate on the top of our stairs with, just guess, permanent marker! I have no idea how she got it. It was on the middle of our desk. Oh well. i can't get it off, so Aaron will have to repaint. I got pictures though so you can all laugh and say that I'm a silly mom!

WOW...hahaha yeah kids are very creative in the areas that dont work for us. haha. If it makes you feel any better Caulen snuck out into the backyard, turned the hose on and flooded my entire backyard...doggie poo and all...so.....it stinks super bad out there. Harley like to go #2 like five times a day, and she is a traveling pooper so you can image what one full day of not picking up her doggie doo does to my yard. SICK!

Now there is a good visual for you all, how about some chocolate chunk ice cream!! LOLZ

Hey, Jenny do you know any one who sells Melaleuca or has Melaleuca products? My friends swears by their Solumel spray, it takes permament marker off of anything. Good luck. It's a good things kids are so cute because it's hard to stay mad at them when they are cute.

So I know we're completely off subject here, but I have a trick for permanent marker removal. It doesn't work on all surfaces. Actually, probably just smooth surfaces. But if you go over it (small sections at a time) with dry erase marker the chemical in the dry erase will help you get the permanent marker off. I've done this twice when my son wrote on the wood floor!

See my triathlon page here
I blended two papers for the background and played with the color, and used a lot of blending modes on everything which was fun since that's not usually my style.
I lost my mojo there for a few days but I'm back now!

I love these layouts! Keep them coming!
Aaron came home and said that he'll just repaint. She got it everywhere! So, it'll be easier just to repaint. Sucks. Thanks for the help though!
