The Lucky in Love Challenge will officially start on Valentine's Day and end on St. Patrick's Day (2009).

Official Rules
Prizes will only be awarded to those who successfully complete all of the following rules.

Each participant must complete scrapbook layouts for at least five of the different challenges (listed below) on or before March 17, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
Each layout should be created specifically for this contest and should be the participant’s sole work (not including pictures). Participants may copy other people’s ideas if credit is given back to the original designer.
Each layout must be created predominantly using Digital Scrapbook Memories CDs.
All participants must upload their completed layouts into a new album on their profile page. Participants should title this new album “Lucky in Love”. Click here to learn how.
Once a participant has completed at least five challenges, they must post in the “Lucky 5” thread. Digital Scrapbook Memories will randomly select one grand prize winner and 3 runner-up winners.
A second grand prize will be given to one person who completes ALL of the challenges, and posts that they have done so in the “Completely in Love” thread. Digital Scrapbook Memories will randomly select one person to win this second grand prize.

Challenges

Lucky Me
Create a scrapbook page that documents at least one of the lucky moments in your life. You can be very liberal with the definition of the word lucky if you like. Post this page in your “Lucky in Love” album, and share a link to that page in the Lucky Me thread. Please wait to post until the contest officially begins on Feb. 14, 2009.

XOXOXO
Create a scrapbook page with a repeating pattern of some sort. This must be a pattern you create. Post this page in your “Lucky in Love” album, and share a link to that page in the XOXOXO thread. Please wait to post until the contest officially begins on Feb. 14, 2009.

I Love You
Create a scrapbook page about a person you love. Any kind of love is fine; it doesn’t need to be a romantic love. Post this page in your “Lucky in Love” album, and share a link to that page in the I Love You thread.

Luck of the Irish
Change at least two Digital Scrapbook Memories papers or embellishments to green. Click here here if you need to learn how. Use these papers or embellishments to create a scrapbook page. The green parts of your page can be small if you like. Post this page in your “Lucky in Love” album, and share a link to that page in the Luck of the Irish thread.

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not
Use flowers to decorate a new scrapbook page you create. Post this page in your “Lucky in Love” album, and share a link to that page in the He Loves Me, He Loves me Not thread.

Love to Learn (online beginner class)
Attend a one of our online beginner classes on one of two dates that will be announced soon. Complete the project given in class and post a link to it in the Love to Learn thread. Go to the Love to Learn thread for more information.

Lucky Idea
You are so lucky! You get to take a fun class from Alisha Shaw! Date of class to be announced soon. Complete the project given in class and post a link to it in the Lucky Idea thread.

Pot of Gold
You have two journaling options for this challenge. Choose either one.
1) Create a scrapbook page about what you would do if you found a pot of gold. You can substitute the words “found a pot of gold” with anything similar such as, “had a million dollars”.
2) What is worth more than gold to you? Create a scrapbook page where the journaling involves explaining your answer. Again, you can substitute the word gold with diamonds, money, jewels or anything similar.
Post this page in your “Lucky in Love” album, and share a link to that page in the Pot of Gold thread.

More Than Words
Work on your photography and keep taking pictures until you finally get a picture you love more than words can say. Just as all of the scrapbook pages for this contest need to be new, this picture must also be a new one taken specifically for this contest. Create a scrapbook page with that picture that involves no journaling at all. Not even a title. Post this page in your “Lucky in Love” album, and share a link to that page in the More Than Words thread.

Follow the Rainbow
Create a scrapbook page with an arch of some sort. For example, you could round off one side of a picture. Post this page in your “Lucky in Love” album, and share a link to that page in the Follow the Rainbow thread.

Valentine Colors
Create a scrapbook page using pink, red and white. You can use other colors too, but pink, red and white should be the main colors on the page. Post this page in your “Lucky in Love” album, and share a link to that page in the Valentine Colors thread.

Grand Prizes (2 winners): Choose any one of the following three prizes.

Retreat Package #2 (click here for info)
Seven Digital Scrapbook Memories CDs, or
$150 refund if you have already paid for a retreat package ($99 if you have paid for retreat package #1).

Runner-up Prizes (3 winners): Your choice of two Digital Scrapbook Memories CDs.

Bonus Prizes: It’s a surprise. We’ll let you know what these prizes are and how to win them sometime between Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day.

April just to clarify, the "Lucky Me" entrant LO's and the "I've done five challenges" post will both be under the challenge thread "lucky me?"

Oh my, I am actually jittery with excitement for this

I just got finished reading all the different challenges and I cannot wait to to get excited (especially since Angie and I made a Michael's trip last week and got some new DSM cds) I loved the Digi Olympics and this looks even better.

Just wondering if is OK to play along (and put my LOs in an album) even though I do not have any of the CDs yet...I know I will not be eligable to win anything, but it would be fun to play along anyway. I just don't want to make an album and then not be able to post any of the things there. I just am not sure of the rules here on posting LOs that are make with kits from other designers.

Unless somehow I manage to get to a store that happens to carry the CDs this week. (everything is over 30 miles away from me...the closest grocery store is 10 miles away!)

I just don't want to make an album and then not be able to post any of the things there.
